School Wide Goals
Primary (Pre-K - 2nd Grade)
Primary students will be at or above national attainment for reading by the end of 2nd grade.
Intermediate (3rd - 5th Grade)
Students in grades 3-5 will participate in daily small-group instruction and independent practice, fostering high-quality learning experiences to help them reach their projected growth targets in reading and math.
Middle School (6th - 8th Grade)
Middle school students in grades 6-8 will engage in daily small-group instruction and independent practice, providing them with meaningful learning opportunities to meet their growth targets in reading and math. Additionally, they will participate in civic dialogue to collaboratively create a positive and inclusive environment for all.

John Spry Community School is located within a bilingual community of the Little Village neighborhood of Chicago. As a neighborhood school, Spry takes great effort in providing students a rich learning experience, one that not only focuses on academics, but also empowers them through Social and Emotional strategies while fostering pride in their language and culture.
